Captain Jason Chambers on Why Aesha Scott Didn’t Return for Below Deck Down Under Season 3

Captain Jason Chambers is back on our screens, courtesy of Below Deck Down Under Season 3. Sadly, his former right-hand lady, Aesha Scott, is no longer on board his series. And now, a moment of silence for this loss.

Captain Jason Chambers on Why Aesha Scott Didn't Return for Below Deck Down Under Season 3

Captain Jason and Aesha made for an excellent duo. But it did suck watching Aesha living out our dreams alongside this hot, speedo-clad, contact-wearing single captain of our dreams. However, Aesha is now one of us, NOT sleeping near this man’s cabin.

It sucks to be all of us today. However, Captain Jason can explain why Aesha stepped away from his series. So, let us take a break from our sadness to let his words wash over us in all the right places.

When BDDU Season 3, Episode 1 aired this week, Aesha was nowhere to be seen. However, she did pop back up on her original series, Below Deck Mediterranean. So, what gives?

Jason recently answered this question while speaking with E! News. “I would say Aesha had a story to tell. She had something to finish off,” Captain Jason explained. He also noted that Aesha and Captain Sandy Yawn, her original captain in this franchise, always got along well.

His statement is accurate. We all saw Aesha meeting and growing while working on Captain Sandy’s watch during Seasons 4, 5, and 9 of BDM. However, Aesha and Captain Jason shared equally solid vibes, so while we understand his answer, we are still bummed to lose Aesha from his series, BDDU, where she worked as his Chief Stew in Seasons 1 and 2.

Returning to this fact, Captain Jason noted that sometimes, “Crews leave, and she had to go and do that, which is fine.” Thankfully, nothing is set in stone here, as he adds that Aesha is “always welcome back.”
