The Vancouver Canucks have made some intriguing moves this summer, and according to Elliotte Friedman, they could trade Teddy Blueger and Dakota Joshua.
This off-season has been relatively slow as of late, but on Sunday we saw a surprising move, with the Vancouver Canucks trading goaltender Arturs Silovs to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
This comes after Vancouver retained Brock Boeser in free agency and added Evander Kane via trade, giving this team a very talented group ahead of the 2025/26 season as they look to bounce back after a highly disappointing campaign.
However, the team may not be done, as NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman has reported that Vancouver are still looking to be very active on the trade market, and with holes on their blue line and down the middle, it makes sense that they'd be looking to make more significant additions.
Just two seasons ago, Vancouver dominated the Pacific Division and made it to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, but with plenty of drama since that point, they've taken a huge step back, although many believe they are a team that can bounce back in 2025/26.
The obvious addition for Patrik Allvin and this team would be adding a second or third line centre to a group led by the polarizing Elias Pettersson, and with Quinn Hughes' future up in the air, the team will unsurprisingly be aggressive moving forward.
Ultimately, there's many teams out there with assets and money to spend that are ready to make a move, and if the Canucks find the right deal, don't be shocked to see them push for a blockbuster deal as they look to turn things around next season.
