His name has been on the lips of NFL and college programs alike. After 24 years of coaching the New England Patriots, coach Bill Belichick called it quits in January 2024.

It is being reported by SI.com that former Hall of Fame Patriots coach Bill Belichick is interested in getting back into coaching.

The North Carolina Tarheels is interested in him, along with others to get their programs and organizations back on track.

Belichick’s name has been floated too as a potential hire for the Las Vegas Raiders as well as other NFL teams.

In a recent interview on the “Pat McAfee Show,” Belichick mentioned how interested he was in potentially entering back into the coaching world. On the same episode of the show, when asked about his name being associated with a particular vacant position, he was very secretive about it.

He would be the ideal coach for a team in need of rebuilding. Belichick has 48 years of experience, and he coached one of the most successful teams in professional sports history, the New England Patriots.

The Raiders need rebuilding in a major way and while there would be many pluses in hiring the future Hall of Fame coach, he is also 72 years old and you have to wonder how long he’s planning on coaching.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out with Bill Belichick possibly entering back into the coaching world and with whom.
