The Seahawks quarterback caught up with the host of Good Morning Football and had high praise for his receiver.
Seattle Seahawks quarterback, Geno Smith, appeared on Good Morning Football this week to talk a little bit of ball with host Kyle Brandt.
Before letting Geno sign off though, Brandt had one last burning question to ask.
“How’s our guy DK [Metcalf]? Is he still living off gummy worms and strawberry milk and stuff?” Brandt asked, referring to one of the several reports about DK’s candy consumption, as well as his sponsorship with Nestle Nesquik.
Geno was clearly amused by the question but quickly came to his receiver’s defense.
“I think he’s kinda tightened his diet up a little bit,” he responded.
Few people are as well-acquainted with DK Metcalf as Geno Smith is. Just about a month after the Seahawks selected DK in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, Geno signed on as a free agent, so I think it’s safe to say his comments were well informed.
“DK has had a phenomenal offseason. I think he’s going to be the best receiver in football. I think he’s got all the right stuff, man,” Geno added.
It’s no secret that diet plays a major role in our lives, and for a professional athlete it can be everything. If DK can get that figured out, he might transform into a literal superhero. Maybe he can help Riq Woolen figure it out too.
