The Chicago Bears have a bright future after ending the 2024 season with a 5-12 record. Not only does the team have a new head coach, Ben Johnson, leading the way, but the franchise also hopes that quarterback Caleb Williams will take the next step in development.
Williams was viewed as a top prospect for several years before taking his talents to the NFL. Many still believe the 23-year-old quarterback will be a superstar in the league despite having a roller coaster of a rookie year.
When it comes to sports cards, the Bears star is one of the more sought-after players from the 2024 rookie class due to his potential. However, on one of the cards he signed, it appears he left a savage message to NFC North rival the Green Bay Packers.
In an ad video for Fanatics and Topps, Williams wrote a message saying, "Green Bay sucks" then signed his initials and jersey number. On other cards, he also wrote "The best looking Chicago QB" and "Chicago, let's shuffle."
Williams flashed plenty of potential during his rookie campaign but there is definitely room for improvement. In the final game of his rookie year, he recorded 148 passing yards and a touchdown pass while throwing a 72.4% completion percentage. Chicago beat the Packers 24-22 in that contest.
Chicago has a massive opportunity to improve the roster this offseason. Not only does the franchise own the No. 10 pick overall in the 205 NFL draft, but the Bears also have over $63 million in projected cap space (fifth most in the league).
