Caleb Williams can't wait to see what Rome Odunze does in Year 2 for one reason

Whether you're a fan of the Chicago Bears or one of the players in the organization, it's safe to say there is plenty of excitement going into the 2025 season.

One of the main reasons for that optimism is because of first-year head coach Ben Johnson. The creativity and consistency he displayed on offense throughout the three years he was the offensive coordinator in Detroit provides a blueprint of what to expect in Chicago.

It makes sense why there is excitement and anticipation about the 2025 season.

Caleb Williams is one of the many players looking forward to 2025, and the Bears’ quarterback is especially excited to see what his teammate Rome Odunze does in Year 2.

Williams loves what Odunze brings to his team and it's clear why

When social media is used correctly, it can be a useful tool. Especially when the starting quarterback of the Bears begins interacting with tweets that involve Odunze.

Four days ago, I posted the below clip of Odunze's double-move against Lions’ cornerback Terrion Arnold in the Week 13 loss on Thanksgiving. The caption reads, “Can't wait to see what Rome Odunze does in Year 2.”

Odunze is wide open for a potential 31-yard touchdown. However, Williams connected with Keenan Allen for the score, but it was Odunze's route that helped draw the safeties’ attention to open up the play.

On Tuesday afternoon, I continued posting Odunze clips. This time it was Odunze's 14-yard reception on fourth-and-3 against the Minnesota Vikings, which occurred a week prior to the double-move route against the Lions. Williams retweeted that clip on Wednesday morning.

Odunze ran an excellent route to create separation from the cornerback, but his catch in traffic with the safety all over him was even more impressive. The Bears needed someone to make a play in the fourth quarter, and with Chicago down 27-16, Odunze came up clutch. Four plays later, the Bears went on to score a touchdown and successfully completed a two-point conversion. Chicago did force the game into overtime before falling 30-27.

If you follow Williams on Instagram, it's clear he's someone who makes the most of his offseason. This past weekend, Williams was seen at the Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash Festival in Bridgeview, IL, chanting “F**k Green Bay.”

But, like everyone, he still goes on social media. And it's clear, the Bears’ quarterback is excited for what he and Odunze can do this upcoming season.
