Bulls Rookie Matas Buzelis Sits Courtside with Shaq at Chicago Sky vs. Indiana Fever Game

The Chicago Sky's final "I-65 rivalry" game of the 2024 WNBA regular season Chicago Bulls' 2024 first-round draft pick Matas Buzelis in attendance at WinTrust Arena on Friday. Unfortunately, the Sky suffered a blowout loss to the Indiana Fever, 100-81.

Fortunately for Buzelis, he enjoyed courtside seats at the Fever vs. Sky game while being flanked by four-time NBA champion and current TNT broadcaster Shaquille O'Neill. While a few hours sitting next to a top 75 NBA player like Shaq might seem like a nice coincidence, hopefully Buzelis absorbed valuable game knowledge from O'Neill.

After an exciting 2024 NBA Summer League debut, Buzelis figures to be a central piece in the Bulls' pivot to a so-called "youth movement." How effective the Bulls' emphasis on younger players this upcoming season will be in transforming the direction of the franchise is debatable.

However, Buzelis displayed flashes of talented upside during his Summer League stint, which should give Bulls fans hope about the future of the franchise.
