The Buffalo Bills traded up in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft to select one of the biggest athletic freaks in this year's draft.
Buffalo traded the No. 56, No. 62, and No. 109 overall picks to the Chicago Bears for the No. 41, No. 72, and No. 240 picks.
With the No. 41 pick, the Bills selected South Carolina Gamecocks defensive tackle TJ Sanders, an extremely athletic and versatile defensive lineman who excels against the run and against the pass.
Sanders is a twitchy defensive tackle who can create some serious matchup issues for opposing offensive lines. His versatility should make him an instant weapon in the Bills' defense.
Sanders graded out as one of the most athletic defensive linemen in this year's draft (and one of the most athletic defensive tackles in the last 35 years).
TJ Sanders Scouting Report
Defensive Tackle, South Carolina
Age 21
A to Z Sports Expected Draft Position: No. 59
Pre-Draft Round Projection: No. 2
After redshirting in the 2021 season, Sanders became a tremendous player for the South Carolina Gamecocks in his career. Sanders was incredibly underrated the last two seasons, collecting 93 total tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss, and 8.5 sacks during that stretch. South Carolina asked Sanders to do a lot of the dirty work, but he still has a ton of upside as a penetrating defensive playmaker. His movement skills are impressive. You see the range and closing speed he has for a player his size. Whether you play an even or odd man front, Sanders should be valued tremendously on the next level. There is still some legitimate upside to tap into. -- A to Z Sports' Ryan Roberts
