Buffalo Bills Should Pursue Two Trade Options to Add Weapon for Josh Allen

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills needed another weapon for the offense heading into the offseason. So far, they have signed Josh Palmer to make up for the loss of Mack Hollins.

Buffalo Bills Should Pursue Two Trade Options to Add Weapon for Josh Allen

That is not an ideal scenario for the franchise.

Amari Cooper is still a free agent and could be brought back. However, Cooper did not make much of an impact after being acquired in a trade with the Cleveland Browns before the deadline.

While the free agency market has dried up quite a bit, the trade market does offer some intriguing options who could fit nicely with the Bills.

There are two names who would make a lot of sense for Buffalo to pursue.

Who are the two wide receivers the Bills should target? Let's dive in and find out.

Alec Pierce, Indianapolis Colts

One potential option would be swinging a trade with the Colts for a player who can take the top off of a defense. Pierce has shown many different times in Indianapolis that he can be a playmaker down the field.

During the 2024 NFL season, Pierce caught 37 passes for 824 yards and seven touchdowns. Those numbers average out to an electrifying 22.3 yards per reception.

With Allen's ability to throw the deep ball, Pierce could be the missing piece that the offense needed to find last year. Playing alongside an elite quarterback might also be what Pierce needs to reach his full potential.

Romeo Doubs, Green Bay Packers

Making a move with the Packers for Doubs would also be a very intriguing move for Buffalo. Doubs has shown flashes of being a legitimate No. 1 wide receiver talent in his first three years.

Doubs will be heading into the final year of his current contract. Green Bay may not want to pay him, which could open them up to the idea of a trade.

In 2024, Doubs caught 46 passes for 601 yards and four touchdowns. Throughout his entire three-year career, he has totaled 147 receptions for 1,700 yards and 15 touchdowns.

At 24 years old, Doubs could be an important piece both in 2025 and for years to come if the Bills choose to give him a new deal.
