The legal tampering period has come and gone, with the new league year officially upon us. Moves have happened in a flurry, and A to Z put together a roundup up the best early moves that took place in the AFC.
For the Bills, the move that garnered the most respect was Buffalo's early deal with wide receiver Josh Palmer, and it's easy to see why.
Here's what the article has to say about the addition of Palmer:
"Palmer has good size and can make plays at all three levels of the field. He'll likely play the Z position in Joe Brady's offense and he can eat up yards, as evidenced by back-to-back seasons in which he averaged 15.0 yards or more per catch."
"He's also a willing run blocker, which completely fits what the Bills are looking for in their receivers these days. Overall it's a really good signing that doesn't break the bank at $12 million per year."
Palmer has flexibility to line up inside or outside, but it's his ability to create separation down the field that has many so excited about what he can bring to a Josh Allen offense. He'll have every opportunity to become an impact downfield threat in Joe Brady's scheme, which will help open everything else up underneath.
Brandon Beane has made plenty of noteworthy moves. Signing Joe Bosa was a splash get that has tons of upside on the defensive line. Beane is doing a great job this free agency period, and has the Bills set up to be able to enter the 2025 NFL Draft with a ton of flexibility in terms of how they want to attack their selections.
