All eyes have been on rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders during OTAs for the Cleveland Browns.

Browns Announcer Doesn't Hold Back Thoughts On Shedeur Sanders

Sanders is currently in a loaded quarterback room in Cleveland, but that hasn't prevented him from grabbing people's attention. The talented gunslinger from Colorado has quickly turned heads on the practice field.

During this past Wednesday's practice, Sanders threw three touchdown passes without tossing an interception. It was an impressive outing, especially for a rookie.

Off the field, Sanders is already winning over the media. Browns color commentator Nathan Zegura appeared on the "Maggie and Perloff Show" this week to share his initial thoughts on the team's fifth-round pick.

Interestingly enough, Zegura had nothing but great things to say about Sanders.

"Shedeur's looked good, though. His ball placement is elite. His ability to layer throws is elite. I think he's got plenty of arm strength, we've seen that on display, certainly in camp at times," Zegura said. "There is something about Shedeur, I got a chance to interview him, very confident, but not in a cocky way. Has a lot of belief in himself. I like him. I like the kid a lot."

Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski recently raved about Sanders, calling him a "great kid." He also said the rookie quarterback is working incredibly hard behind the scenes.

"Shedeur's a great kid," Stefanski said, via CBS. "And whether it's a following that he's earned - I mean, that's something that he's done a great job of, interacting with fans. But he's a great, great kid. He's working like crazy, just like all the guys

The Browns won't guarantee Sanders a spot on the roster. He'll need to earn it by competing with Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel.

If Sanders performs well in the preseason, he should be on the Week 1 roster. Until that day comes, he'll need to put in the work.
