It has been well-documented this offseason that the Denver Broncos are in dire need of help at the running back position.
While it is safe to assume they will go for one top back, whether in the draft or in free agency, it would be interesting if they went for two.
Sean Payton has never been one to rely on a single running back, including this past season, a strategy that had great success back in New Orleans with Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara.
Two back offenses have also been successful recently, mainly with Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery in Detroit.
Two running backs that could form a dynamic duo of their own in Denver are soon-to-be rookie Ashton Jeanty and free agent veteran Aaron Jones.
Both have been rumored as targets this offseason.
Jeanty seems like a can't-miss running back prospect and would be a no-brainer at No. 20.
The most common team Jeanty has been mocked to is the Dallas Cowboys at No. 13, so he might not get to Denver.
The hope is that he does.
Jones would be a perfect complement for Jeanty. He is a veteran with a nose for the end zone and would help limit wear and tear on Jeanty, similar to Montgomery with the Lions.
Based on recent trends and Payton's past teams, a Jeanty-Jones dynamic duo would make plenty of sense for the Broncos.
