Broncos have 7 cornerbacks signed ahead of free agency

On paper, the Denver Broncos look pretty good at cornerback going into NFL free agency.

On one side, the Broncos have reigning Defensive Player of the Year Pat Surtain. Across from him there's Riley Moss, who played well last season before injury. In the slot, Denver has a capable young cornerback in Ja'Quan McMillian.

The team's depth at cornerback was tested last season when Moss went down with an injury, but Kris Abrams-Draine showed signs of promise while filling in.

This year, the Broncos will likely look to add more depth and competition at the position. Damarri Mathis has a $3.6 million salary cap hit and his status is uncertain. Behind him there's Quinton Newsome and Reese Taylor, who spent most of last season on the practice squad.
