Broncos fans most concerned about the tight end position in 2025

The results from this week’s FanDuel SB Nation Reacts survey shocked me a bit. Even with the J.K. Dobbins signing, I felt like the running back position group is still the one with the biggest question marks heading into the season for the Denver Broncos. However, most fans disagree with that assessment. 63% went with the tight end position group and another 24% went with the wide receiver group.

I had the exact inverse. I feel like Evan Engram is likely to be just fine for Denver this year and from a position group standpoint, I didn’t feel the concerns there are for the tight end group were as warranted as they were for running back and wide receiver.

With running back, Dobbins adds a veteran presence but Denver has not exactly had much luck with the Melvin Gordon’s of the world. I love RJ Harvey, but I had concerns about Audric Estime in year two as well. We’ll just have to see how it all plays out.

Wide receiver, on the other hand, looks like it could be sneaky good or a dumpster fire. The latter because we need to see who ends up taking the role of the number two outside behind Courtland Sutton and also because Sutton will be on the wrong side of 30 in October. If I had to guess I would say they’ll end up being sneaky good this year, but we’ll be having concerns about wide receiver soon if a true number one isn’t found before Sutton hits a few years into his 30s.

As I wrap this up, I’m lowkey grinning from ear to ear. To be back to knit-picking position groups knowing the Broncos have a franchise quarterback again. Having been blogging 24/7/365 for nearly two decades now, I’m reminded just how long and hard the last nine years has been to cover this team as a fan.

Let’s knit-pick some more. Is running back really all set now? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
