Broncos' Bo Nix Receives Impressive Honor From Senior Bowl

The Senior Bowl was recently named Nix Rookie of the Year. Nix competed in the annual college all-star game last year before the Broncos took him with the No. 12 pick in the NFL Draft.

At last year's Senior Bowl, Nix played briefly, completing 4 of 5 passes for 21 yards and a touchdown.

Although it was a small sample size for scouts, Nix proved Broncos scouts right during a stellar rookie season, leading the Broncos back to the playoffs for the first time since 2015. He threw for 3,775 yards and 29 touchdowns against 12 interceptions.

Nix played five collegiate seasons at Auburn and Oregon before entering the draft. The Arkansas native had success at Auburn, where he threw for 7,250 yards and 39 touchdowns against 16 picks in three seasons before transferring to Oregon.

With the Ducks, Nix had a monster year in 2023, throwing for 4,508 yards and 45 touchdowns against three picks. Overall, Nix had 8,101 yards and 74 touchdowns against 10 interceptions in his two seasons with Oregon.

Other Senior Bowl Rookie of the Year award winners included Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey and Los Angeles Rams defensive end Braden Fiske.
