Brock Bowers Sends Strong Message on Raiders Rookie RB Ashton Jeanty

The Las Vegas Raiders had one of the worst offenses in the league during the 2024 NFL season. Fortunately, new general manager John Spytek and head coach Pete Carroll have already made massive changes for the organization.

Geno Smith is now the team's quarterback, and Spytek selected three wide receivers during the 2025 NFL Draft to help out returning players Jakobi Meyers and Tre Tucker. Tight end Brock Bowers will also be a fixture of the offense once again this season.

Ashton Jeanty is now the team's starting running back, and he will look to revive a rushing attack that was ranked 32nd in the NFL last season. They mustered just 79.8 yards per game on the ground in 2025 (via Pro Football Reference).

Bowers recently attended "Tight End University," a three-day event hosted by legendary former NFL tight end Greg Olsen, as well as the Chiefs' Travis Kelce and the 49ers' George Kittle.

He spoke on an episode of SportsCenter live from the event about what he has seen from Jeanty thus far through OTAs and mandatory minicamp.

"I mean [Jeanty] is a beast, you saw him at Boise State, he is an animal," Bowers said. "The dude does not want to go down. I am really excited. I loved watching him in college last year. And seeing him on the practice field, he is a great dude, he is an awesome player, I am excited to see what he does."

Jeanty ran for 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns during his final season at Boise State, helping the Broncos to a 12-2 record and a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Las Vegas is expected to make the rookie a workhorse back immediately, with recently added veteran Raheem Mostert and Sincere McCormick expected to play a supplementary role.

Under the guidance of new offensive coordinator Chip Kelly, the Raiders' offense is expected to be massively improved during the 2025 season.
