Brittany made the comments ahead of The Valley Season 1 finale, which documented her split from Jax Taylor.
Despite her highly publicized marital issues, Brittany Cartwright has seemingly maintained an optimistic outlook.
The Kentucky native demonstrated this on Tuesday, June 4, just hours before The Valley Season 1 finale. Brittany reflected on the “bittersweet” ending in an Instagram photo that showed her at the E! News studio alongside her castmates Michelle Saniei Lally and Janet Caperna.
“A bittersweet end to this chapter,” she captioned the picture. “Let’s see what happens in the next.”
Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor split after four years of marriage
It’s no secret that The Valley Season 1 was quite challenging for Brittany, who navigated never-ending friendship drama and rising tensions with her now-estranged husband, Jax Taylor.
Although the couple appeared to be solid at the start of the season, their issues became more apparent with each new episode. The Vanderpump Rules alumni — who share a 3-year-old son named Cruz Michael Cauchi — would fight over various issues, including their lack of miscommunication and lagging sex life.

Brittany said the situation eventually became too toxic to bear, so she decided to pack her bags and separate from her spouse of nearly five years. The former SURver explained her decision during an emotional sitdown with Jax in The Valley Season 1 finale.
“A lot has happened with me and Jax,” she said in an episode interview. “We were already having issues all summer long, but once the cameras started rolling, things only started getting worse and worse. So about six weeks ago I separated from Jax. I moved to an Airbnb with Cruz because Jax would not leave. I feel that shows how selfish Jax is.
“… There’s been a lot of things that I have taken Jax back for,” she continued. “I’ve been cheated on, I have been disrespected, I have been humiliated. I have been through a lot of pain in this relationship. It has been very public the pain I have had to deal with. I just can’t deal with it anymore.”
