Are Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor any closer to reconciliation? Well, as suggested by the former, the answer is no.

Nearly three months after confirming her marital split, Brittany revealed where she currently stands with her husband of four years. The Valley mom shared the update during the May 24 episode of her and Jax’s When Reality Hits podcast series with special guest Tom Schwartz.
The Vanderpump Rules cast member had appeared on the show just a week before, and noted how Brittany and Jax were in a seemingly good place at the time of the May 17 broadcast. However, Brittany admitted that was no longer the case.
“How are guys doing right now?” Tom asked.
“Not great,” Brittany revealed. “Right now, I’m kind of like, I can’t even be in the same room with him very long. The last time you were here, I was fine. You were like, ‘I forget you guys are even separated.’ So it’s very up and down like that.”
Brittany Cartwright says Jax Taylor doesn't respect her boundaries
Tom said he sympathized with Brittany and Jax’s struggles but applauded his former castmates for how they’ve handled their separation.
“You guys seemed kind of like the old Jax and Brittany,” Tom recalled about his last appearance on the podcast. “It was cute. But I understand that you guys have made your decision. I think you guys do a good job at respecting each other’s boundaries, right?”
“He hasn’t done a good job respecting mine, that’s for sure,” Brittany replied. “But we gotta remember, I’m the one that’s living elsewhere and I’m the one that’s, like, I feel like I’m the one that’s taking all of the hard hits, even though I was the one that had to leave.”
Brittany Cartwright on Co-Parenting with Jax Taylor
Tom admitted the subject made him “squirm,” as he is close friends with both Brittany and Jax. So, to alleviate the awkwardness, he turned his direction to a much happier topic: Brittany and Jax’s 3-year-old son, Cruz Michael Cauchi
The Schwartz & Sandy’s owner said The Valley couple was “doing a standup job of co-parenting” and putting their child first amid all the drama.
“When it comes to Cruz, you guys are very practical, reasonable,” he said. “I’ve never seen an ounce of toxicity around Cruz, which I admire.”
Brittany agreed.
“That part is the most important… The rest can be hard, you know?” she said. “We are both very respectful of that. Even on days where I’m, like, ‘Don’t talk to me,’ if it’s about Cruz, we’re gonna respond and talk to each other. Do you know what I mean? So that is always No. 1 and most important.”
