BREAKING🚨: Ravens URGED to SIGN SHOCKING $25 MILLION Free Agent CB to REVOLUTIONIZE Their Defense and Dominate the AFC

The Baltimore Ravens have one very distinct advantage over other teams when it comes to drawing in potential free agents — they have a realistic chance to win the Super Bowl.

With an unexpected hit to their secondary depth after a gruesome injury to rookie Bilhal Khone in the preseason opener, the Ravens might be in the market for another cornerback — Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox believes that could be veteran and Super Bowl champion Rasul Douglas.

Former NCC Star Shines in NFL Game

“If Douglas is open to filling a depth role, the Ravens may also have room for him. They lost rookie sixth-round pick Bilhal Kone to a season-ending knee injury during the preseason opener against Indianapolis,” Knox wrote. “Kone wasn’t likely to play a significant role for the Ravens, who added both Chidobe Awuzie and Jaire Alexander this offseason. However, Douglas could be a valuable bit of veteran depth.”

The Ravens still have some room to maneuver — they have 2 more preseason games left before opening the season on Sunday Night Football against the Buffalo Bills on September 7.

Helped Eagles Win Super Bowl as Rookie

Douglas, who will turn 31 years old before the season starts, was an All-Big 12 player at West Virginia before the Eagles drafted him in the third round (No. 99 overall) of the 2017 NFL draft. He started 5 games as a rookie and had 2 interceptions on the way to winning a Super Bowl.

Douglas was a part-time starter for 3 seasons in Philadelphia before he was waived in September 2020. Since then, Douglas has played for the Carolina Panthers, Las Vegas Raiders, Houston Texans, Arizona Cardinals, Green Bay Packers and Buffalo Bills, where he started 15 games in 2024 and had 6 pass deflections.

Through 8 NFL seasons, Douglas has approximately $25 million in career earnings. — the majority of which came from a 3-year, $21 million contract from the Packers in March 2022.

Douglas Predicted to ‘Bounce Back’ in 2025

PFF’s Zolton Buday put Douglas on his list of the top “bounce-back” players in the NFL in 2025 — the only player on the list who doesn’t currently have a team.

The Ravens might start with a 1-year, $4 million offer for Douglas and be willing to go up to $5 million — even that might be a stretch financially.

“His underwhelming 2024 campaign may help explain why he remains unsigned,” Buday wrote on May 26. “Douglas posted a 53.9 PFF overall grade, 102nd out of 116 qualifying cornerbacks, and his 51.6 coverage grade ranked 103rd … Despite his disappointing 2024 season, Douglas’ recent track record and the fact that he turns just 30 at the start of the season make him a strong bounce-back candidate for any team needing veteran cornerback help.”

The Ravens are a team that seems like they might have good cornerbacks, but no one can be sure about it at this point. The starters right now are second year cornerback Nate Wiggins, who has yet to prove he can be elite and started 6 games as a rookie.

The wild card is Alexander, a 2-time NFL All-Pro who was released by Green Bay in June to clear $17.1 million in salary cap space despite being 28 years old and having several years remaining on the 4-year, $84 million on a contract extension in 2022.
