With Rashan Gary on defense and Jordan Love leading the offense, the sky is the limit for the Green Bay Packers in 2024.
Gary fell just short of his career-best with nine sacks last season, but for added context, he was returning from a torn ACL and played on a snap count early in the year. It didn't take long for Gary to remind the world how talented he is. In Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints, he made three sacks and four quarterback hits despite playing just 23 snaps.
Love overcame a slow start, as did the entire offense, to reach an MVP level late in the year. The upside for Matt LaFleur's offense is unlimited.
Gary could take another step forward in a more aggressive scheme under Jeff Hafley, and he is excited about what's to come from Love in his second season as the starter.
As a guest on The Rich Eisen Show, Gary spoke about expectations for the upcoming season. He is excited about Love's development and made a bold prediction.
"People haven't seen nothing yet," Gary said. "The things that he's been doing in camp that you can't see. The practice tape that you can't see. The throws that he's doing, how he's putting them on the money. It's ridiculous right now."
"I just can't wait for the season so he can display it. He's in store for a hell of a season for us."
When Packers players say how good Love looks, we should believe them. No matter how bad things got for the offense early last season, Love's teammates always stepped up to support him. They consistently went out of their way to tell the media how confident they were in him. They knew how talented he was, and Love showed the world down the stretch.
Love has come so far from his first training camp. He looked nowhere near ready to start in the NFL, and the lack of preseason games hurt his development.
But here we are. Love is a superstar with a huge season ahead of him. As Gary says, the best is yet to come.
