BREAKING: Packers’ Matt LaFleur Makes Announcement Regarding Kicker Following Win Over Cardinals

The Green Bay Packers kept pace with the best division in the NFL so far through six weeks.  The Arizona Cardinals came into Lambeau Field and were treated to an underwhelming afternoon.  Green Bay won convincingly 34-13 over Arizona and improved their record to 4-2.  They remained right in the middle of the tight NFC North race with the Minnesota Vikings (5-0), Detroit Lions (4-1), and Chicago Bears (4-2).

Following the game, head coach Matt LaFleur made an announcement regarding one of the weaker parts of Green Bay’s team.

LaFleur: “I wouldn’t say that right now, no.”

On Sunday, Narveson missed his fifth field goal of the season. He missed his 44-yard attempt to the right. In the following drive, Narveson made a 41-yard field goal, and he went 2-for-3 on field goals and 4-for-4 on extra points.

At 70.6 percent, Narveson ranks 33rd among 33 qualifying kickers going into Monday’s game. The Packers released Greg Joseph after final cuts in order to add Narveson. He ranks 32nd at 72.7 percent.

Misses are piling up. This season, Narveson has missed a league-high four kicks between 40 and 49 yards, and he’s one of only three kickers who missed between 30 and 39 yards (kickers are 98-for-101 on kicks between 30 and 39 yards).
