BREAKING: Packers Add 6’3″ Monster For Jordan Love 1 Day Before Matchup Vs. Cardinals
The Green Bay Packers are off to a 3-2 start so far in 2024. Their two losses coming against the Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings. Both losses were separated by less than a touchdown when the clock went final (5 point game vs. Philadelphia, 2 point game vs. Minnesota).
To stay competitive in the NFC North, Green Bay added a massive weapon for their offense in week six.
Packers Add 6’3″ Monster For Jordan Love 1 Day Before Matchup Vs. Cardinals
In Week 6, the Green Bay Packers promoted fullback Andrew Beck from their practice squad to their gameday roster. Matt LaFleur and the Packers will be able to use Beck when they face the Arizona Cardinals this Sunday.
Two weeks in a row, Beck has been elevated. In last week’s win over the Los Angeles Rams, the veteran played three offensive snaps and five special teams snaps.
According to journalist Zach Kruse:
Beck has played in 67 career games. He has 25 catches for 214 yards and three touchdowns, including career-highs of 13 catches and two touchdown catches last season over 15 games with the Houston Texans. The Packers signed Beck to the practice squad on Aug. 30.
The Packers did not elevate a cornerback, suggesting Jaire Alexander (questionable, groin) is good to go for Sunday. Robert Rochell had been up — either via elevation or signing — during each of the last three weeks.
All teams are allowed to elevate up to two players from the practice squad each week. An individual player can only be elevated from the practice squad three times per season, so Beck has one elevation left. On Monday, Beck will revert to the practice squad.
