BREAKING NEWS: Eagles’ Offensive Line Faces Major Setbacks with Injuries to Landon Dickerson and Kenyon Green 🚨

The Philadelphia Eagles were dealt an injury scare with star guard Landon Dickerson after he left their in-stadium practice on Sunday night on a cart. However, it turns out he isn’t the only offensive lineman dealing with injury troubles, as the team has been dealt some tough news regarding former first-round pick Kenyon Green.

Kenyon Green

The Eagles acquired Green in a trade with the Houston Texans over the offseason, but he has endured some early struggles to begin training camp. Now, he’s got his own injury concerns to deal with, as it sounds like he’s set to miss an extended period of time with a shoulder ailment he recently sustained.

Kenyon Green Likely Out for Remainder of Preseason with Shoulder Injury

Dickerson is penciled in as Philadelphia’s starting left guard, but he picked up a worrisome meniscus injury on Sunday. It sounds like he’s avoided a worst-case scenario, though, as he’s set to undergo a minor procedure, with the hope being that he will be able to suit up for the Eagles in their regular season opener against the Dallas Cowboys.

With Dickerson out, that seemed like a perfect opportunity for Green to gain some momentum with Philadelphia. The No. 15 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, Green struggled to find his footing in his first three seasons with the Texans, which led them to dump him to the Eagles this offseason. With a strong offensive line in place, Philly was willing to take a flier on Green to see if they could help him realize his potential.

The early results in training camp haven’t been encouraging, though, and it seems like Green’s roster spot may be in serious jeopardy. His latest shoulder injury will only make his goal of sticking around on the roster more difficult, as Green has been labeled as “week-to-week” with this injury, and like Dickerson, he’s expected to miss the rest of the team’s preseason action.

“Landon Dickerson isn’t the only Eagles guard who is now considered week to week,” Adam Schefter of ESPN reported in a post on X. “Kenyon Green, whom the Eagles acquired in an off-season trade, also is what one source described as ‘week to week’ with a shoulder injury that is likely to end his preseason.”

Eagles’ Offensive Line Depth Being Tested Early in 2025

Landon Dickerson

Entering the 2025 campaign, Philadelphia was widely believed to have the best offensive line in the league. With Dickerson and Green out, though, they suddenly have a massive hole at left guard. With Tyler Steen slotted in at right guard, that leaves Matt Pryor and Trevor Keegan as the top candidates to slot in at left guard for the time being.

In a perfect world, both Dickerson and Green will be healthy come Week 1, but with just a couple of weeks to go until the start of the regular season, they would likely accept just one of these guys being ready to go for the start of the season. For Green, this is another tough blow in what has been a rough summer, and it remains to be seen whether or not he will find his way onto the team’s initial 53-man roster.
