The Green Bay Packers and Jacksonville Jaguars will go into the 2024 season with something to prove.  The Packers aim to show the league that they are on their way to being Super Bowl contenders.

The Jaguars are looking to do the same.  Now the Jaguars will be utilizing a former Packer in an attempt to get there.

According to Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times Union:

The Jacksonville Jaguars have waived/injured undrafted free agent receiver Wayne Ruby and have reportedly agreed to terms with linebacker Ty Summers. The team made the former move official on Wednesday.

According to a report from the Denver Gazette’s Chris Tomasson, Summers will sign with the team after working out with the Jaguars on Wednesday. Summers was a tryout player at the Broncos rookie minicamp last weekend.

The Jaguars signed Ruby and 12 other undrafted players shortly following the conclusion of the NFL Draft last month. Ruby caught 74 touchdowns at Mount Union in five years with the program, including a staggering 30 touchdowns during the 2022 season.

In all, he’s caught 362 passes for 5,624 yards and 74 scores. He averaged 15.5 yards per catch and 100.4 receiving yards per game through his time there.
