Boston Celtics injury report: 4 rotation players listed for Heat game

The Celtics are trending toward shorthanded as they return home after a six-game road trip where they went undefeated. The C’s have four rotation players listed for their 7:30 p.m. Wednesday game against the Heat at TD Garden.

Jaylen Brown (right knee), Jrue Holiday (right shoulder) and Kristaps Porzingis (return from illness reconditioning) are all questionable. Al Horford is doubtful with his left big toe sprain. So it’s looking like at least Horford will most likely be out with other guys potentially also sitting Wednesday.

Brown missed Monday’s win over the Grizzlies as he’s been dealing with a recent bone bruise in his right knee. He has played through the issue while being on a minutes restriction, so the Celtics will be cautious with their All-Star so close to the playoffs.

Holiday has dealt with right shoulder issues throughout the season as it’s been a lingering injury the past few months. He’s played well in recent games, but it would also be no surprise to see the team rest Holiday. Same principle goes for Porzingis as his recent illness forced him out of multiple games, though he’s played well since returning to the court.

The Celtics are on a nine-game win streak, including sweeping their six-game road trip where they won each game by double-digits. They’ve rested guys and have others out, but the C’s just keep picking up victories anyway. They now get their rival Heat, who are on a five-game win streak and bring in a 34-41 record to Wednesday’s game.
