That’s it, folks! Luna is finally dead and gone on The Bold and the Beautiful! Shot to death by Liam after her own shooting spree, not even her mom is mourning her loss. (Ouch.) There’s no coming back from this… Unless there is. Because it turns out, there’s a strong case to be made for Luna still being alive.
Whether that’s true or not, as of this Thursday, there’s definitely an even bigger reason to keep her around: portrayer Lisa Yamada is now an Emmy nominated actress for her work as Luna! That’s not something to be taken lightly — and Yamada knows it.
“Impostor syndrome going crazy [right now],” she admitted in an Instagram post. “Fifteen years in and this career still feels like a pipe dream… That pipe dream just landed me an Emmy nomination?? Say whaaaaat? This is a prank right??”
She went on to thank headwriter and executive producer, Bradley Bell “for trusting me with such a beautifully complex villain like :una. playing her has been the honor of my life. I walk into Television City everyday full of gratitude. How lucky am I to call this my job?”
Even better, is getting to share the nomination with her Bold & Beautiful co-star and longtime friend, Christian Weissmann, who received his own nomination for playing Remy. “I love you, Christian” she added. “I’m so happy I get to do this with you!” And while Yamada’s still a bit dumbfounded over how she got so lucky in life, “I’m so eternally grateful for whatever magic the universe is working up there!”
Hey, it’s always nice to feel a little magic in the air, but at the tend of the day, we know it’s hard work and talent that gets Emmy nominations. So whether Luna comes back or not, Yamada can definitely feel proud at what she’s accomplished already!
