The Buffalo Bills' need for another weapon to complete Josh Allen's arsenal for 2025 is beginning to gain momentum.
While we think Josh Palmer, Keon Coleman, Curtis Samuel, Khalil Shakir, Dalton Kincaid, Dawson Knox, and James Cook are a good group of talent, and aside from Palmer, they were good enough to make it to the AFC Championship game, yet some want more.
There's no Amari Cooper or Mack Hollins, which leads many to having the Bills take a receiver in the upcoming draft, and for Sporting News' Bryce Lazenby, the franchise even trades up to No. 24 to land Ohio State's Emeka Egbuka.
"The Bills aren't willing to miss out on a first-round receiver again, and they trade up ahead of the Texans and Lions to land Emeka Egbuka, who is a crisp route-runner with sure hands who would fit in perfectly with Josh Allen," Lazenby writes. "This also takes away a player the Vikings' division rival, the Lions, may want."
With Buffalo now infamously trading out of the first round last year, which allowed the Kansas City Chiefs to take Xavier Worthy, while they took Coleman, it is likely a factor here, but the Bills don't let it happen again.
We see a receiver in the first round as a luxury pick, but you can never have enough weapons around a quarterback.
Another option in the slot alongside Shakir, Egbuka, and his elite ball-tracking ability will help Allen keep the chains moving and offer a constant threat of picking up first downs.
The Bills already have a nice arsenal of weapons for Allen, so why not add one more to give the offense further juice to finally take down the Chiefs?
