Bills Urged To Trade For $151 Million Cowboys Star

The Buffalo Bills are over a week into training camp, and players around the NFL aren’t happy with their contracts.

Dallas Cowboys edge Micah Parsons will set the edge rusher market.

On Thursday night, Washington Commanders receiver Terry McLaurin requested a trade as he seeks a new contract. The Commanders have shown no signs of wanting to give him a new deal.

McLaurin isn’t the only player from the NFC East dealing with contract disputes. Dallas Cowboys pass rusher Micah Parsons is entering the final year of his contract. The Cowboys and Parsons seem far apart on any type of deal. With less than six weeks away from the regular season, the time to extend Parsons is coming down to the wire.

Last year, the Cowboys didn’t extend quarterback Dak Prescott until a few days before their Week 1 game. There is still a chance Parsons will get a new contract.

Micah Parsons Could Ask For A Trade

As of right now, the star pass rusher seems frustrated with everything going on, and he could want out. According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, Parsons could request a trade out of Dallas.

“The Micah Parsons-Cowboys relationship has deteriorated to the point where the star pass rusher is considering drastic measures, which could include a trade request or even a declaration that he is severing his relationship with the team, per multiple league sources familiar with the situation,” Russini wrote. “The two sides remain far apart heading into the second week of training camp, and are not currently negotiating.”

If Parsons does ask for a trade, then teams will be all over him for his service. One of those teams should be the Bills, who need to add another pass rusher.

The Bills Urged To Trade For Parsons

Jarrett Bailey from The Sporting News thinks the Bills should try to trade for Parsons to upgrade the pass rush.

“While the Bills would have to pay Parsons, he is one of the best edge rushers in the game and could be the piece that puts them over the top. If it means sending multiple first-round picks in exchange for his services, they should do it – especially because they consistently struggle at the top of the draft anyway. Send whatever it takes to get Parsons if he is truly available,” Bailey wrote.

According to Spotrac, Parsons’ market value is listed at four years, $151 million. If the Bills do trade for Parsons, then they will have to extend him right away.

It would make zero sense for Buffalo to give up a load of draft picks for one season of Parsons. It seems like trading for Parsons will be a long shot since there is a good chance the Cowboys will give in and give him the deal he’s been looking for.
