The Buffalo Bills offense was a well-oiled machine last season under the guidance of Joe Brady and Josh Allen, averaging 30.9 points per game.
Buffalo again lost in the postseason to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, and Amari Cooper and Mack Hollins are entering free agency, making the Bills' weapons look rather limited.
With Keon Coleman, Curtis Samuel, and Khalil Shakir as the receivers, along with tight ends Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox as options, Allen's options look rather limited.
For NFL.com, the Bills must get a weapon that can get rolling downfield this offseason.
"With midseason acquisition Amari Cooper and Mack Hollins both hitting free agency, Buffalo could use a separator on the outside to complement newly extended slot star Khalil Shakir," NFL.com writes.
There are a few ways to go.
A Cooper return could be beneficial; after all, he was a midseason acquisition who was then hurt for multiple games.
Other options like Brandin Cooks, who while fading, still possesses the deep threat speed the Bills are looking for, so too Marquise Brown and Darious Slayton.
The other thing the Bills have to consider is salary. The players mentioned above won't break the bank, so they could be realistic options for us.
Then we have the older veterans like Keenan Allen, Tyler Lockett, and even Mike Williams, who, while they won't blast past defenders, will be good options in the pass game and are reliable targets.
So there are several avenues the Bills could go down, and even the draft looms as a possibility as well.
But one thing is clear: general manager Brandon Beane has to get Allen help.
