The Buffalo Bills showed how close they are to a Super Bowl last season, and the franchise's plan of attack this offseason and in the draft means they are going for it in 2025.
Joshua Palmer was signed, so too Joey Boss, Larry Ogunjobi, and Michael Hoecht to bolster the defensive line, plus draftees Maxwell Hairston, T.J. Sanders, and Landon Jackson round out a solid class in the early rounds.
But when looking at the Bills compared to the rest of the AFC post-draft, CBS Sports' Jordan Dajani has them at No. 3, and the receiver additions come with an unknown quantity about them.
"As far as the wide receiver situation goes, maybe Joshua Palmer blossoms as a perimeter threat and Elijah Moore is an interesting addition," Dajani writes.
Palmer has posted at least 500 receiving yards in his last three seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers, and comes looking to be a No. 2 receiver behind Khalil Shakir.
As for Moore, he is likely seen as a depth piece and rotational player, but he too, has been productive, totaling over 500 receiving yards in his last two NFL seasons.
So the pair could come and raise the ceiling for Buffalo's receiver room, and that is a scary thought given the Bills had one of the best offenses in football last season, averaging 30.9 points per game, something general manager Brandon Beane pointed out when asked why he didn't take a receiver high in the draft now infamously on radio.
We stated pre-draft that the Bills' need for a receiver could be considered a luxury given how well the unit performed last year. With the additions of Palmer and Moore, maybe they are the moves that could see Buffalo finally make a Super Bowl with Josh Allen and, in turn, move up higher in the rankings as a result.
