Bills Grab Josh Allen's 'Perfect Fit' In Latest Mock

The Buffalo Bills once again came up short in the playoffs under Josh Allen. Once again, they had their chance to win or tie the game late and failed.

Bills Grab Josh Allen's 'Perfect Fit' In Latest Mock

For most, the "everybody eats" mantra fueled the Bills offense well, as under Joe Brady, it was the second-highest scoring unit in football (30.9 points per game).

With weapons consisting of Keon Coleman, Mack Hollins, Khalil Shakir, Curtis Samuel, Dawson Knox, Amari Cooper (for half a season), and Dalton Kincaid, the one thing lacking was a genuine No. 1 receiver.

Now, with the Bills deemed to be close to Super Bowl glory again, the need for a weapons upgrade is urgent, and while some think that can be addressed in free agency, NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah has Buffalo adding Texas star Matthew Golden in the first round of his mock draft.

"The Bills have needs on defense, but this is strictly a value play. Golden would be a perfect fit with Josh Allen," Jeremiah writes.

Now, we know there's no such thing as a "perfect" fit, but in Golden, Allen gets a genuine weapon out of the slot.

The Texas receiver posted 987 yards and nine touchdowns last season, which are solid numbers. In Joe Brady's offense, Golden's ability to create almost instant separation due to his quickness and acceleration could see him and Allen link up time and time again.

With Keon Coleman outside and Golden and Shakir as the prime movers in the slot, the Bills will again have an offense capable of putting up points for fun.
