The Buffalo Bills will look to improve their lead in the AFC East on Sunday when they host the Miami Dolphins.
Buffalo currently has a 3.5-game lead on Miami, who sits third in the division at 2-5. If the Bills are able to get the win, they would not only have a massive lead on the Dolphins, but they would have a 3-0 record against divisional opponents this season.
The Bills have had multiple key defenders miss time throughout the season but could be getting a huge boost on Sunday. According to coach Sean McDermott, defensive captain and starting linebacker Terrel Bernard should be "good to go."
Bernard has missed three games for the Bills this season as he's dealt with pectoral and ankle ailments. In the five games that he has started, Bernard totaled 32 tackles, three tackles-for-loss and an interception.
Even when he doesn't have a massive impact on the stat sheet, Bernard's leadership and communication are huge for Buffalo's defense and will be crucial in a divisional matchup.
Elsewhere on the injury report, receivers Amari Cooper and Curtis Samuel, and cornerback Christian Benford will be listed as questionable for Sunday. If Cooper and Samuel both can't go, it could be a big loss for a Bills' offense that had begun to find their stride in recent games.
For Miami, receiver Tyreek Hill is expected to play despite dealing with a foot injury leading up to the matchup.
