Bills Accused Of Head-Scratching Mistake In Josh Allen Offense

The Buffalo Bills were bested in the AFC championship game once again by Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, so the team was looking to upgrade their offense this offseason in order to compete.

But some think they have not done it in the best way.

In a recent article by Yardbarker's Seth Trachtman, he outlines one move so far this offseason that he thinks every team maybe should not have made. For the reigning AFC East champions, he thinks they should have gone after a better receiver instead of signing Josh Palmer.

"The Bills needed more help for Josh Allen, but it remains to be seen if Palmer is the answer," Trachtman wrote. "The speedster has been inconsistent in four seasons with the Chargers, finishing with more than 600 yards only once. His three-year, $36 million contract is a significant sum for a flier."

Palmer was a solid weapong for Justin Herbert to throw to with the Los Angeles Chargers, but Bills fans may have expected a bit more from the team in order to compete with the likes of the Chiefs in the AFC.

The team has also showed no indication that they are going to re-sign veteran receiver Amari Cooper. While he did not quite have the numbers they wanted him to after trading for him in 2024, he could very well improve now that he has more time under his belt with the Bills' offense.

Buffalo could still very well make a move or two to help out Allen on the offense, but they have overpaid a bit for a player like Palmer who is currently listed as the team's WR3.
