Bills’ 2025 Draft Pick Seen Walking With Limp After Getting Injured In Practice

With the 2025 Buffalo Bills training camp underway, that means the 2025 NFL season will be here soon.

On Saturday, August 9th, the Bills will welcome the New York Giants for their first preseason game of the year.

With training camp and preseason football back, it’s always great to see football being played, but one downside to all the exhibition is seeing players get injured.

The NFL has made efforts to reduce players’ injuries in the offseason over the years, including reducing the preseason from four to three games and modifying training camp to be less demanding.

There was a time when NFL teams would hold training camp practices twice a day, a task that was particularly taxing for the human body to endure.

The NFL Is Trying To Reduce Players’ Injuries

Every year, star NFL players get lost for the season due to training camp injuries, and there are also times when players trying to make the 53-man roster get hurt and lose any chance of making the team.

It always stinks to see a star player get hurt, but the good news for that individual is they are already locked in on contract and had a spot on the team when healthy.

When a borderline roster player is trying to make the team and gets injured, it’s always a terrible feeling, since it could be their last chance to see their NFL dreams come true.

Even though every team has 53 roster spots, there are still limited opportunities for these players to make the active roster, given the intense competition the league brings in every year.

One player on the Bills who is looking to make the Week 1 roster is 2025 seventh-round draft pick Kaden Prather.

Prather, 22, is from Montgomery Village, Maryland, and first attended West Virginia for two seasons before returning to play for his home state’s Terrapins.

In 48 college games, Prather recorded 1,966 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns.
Prather was going to have an uphill climb to make the Bills’ active roster this season since the wide receiver room is loaded, and his chances of making the team got a little bit harder on Sunday.

Bills Kaden Prather Seen Walking With a Limp After Injury

There is no updated status on Prather’s injury or how long he may be out, but walking with a limp is never a good sign.

If Prather has to miss a day or even weeks of practice, it could cost him a chance of making the roster.

Being a seventh-round pick already puts a player in jeopardy of making the Week 1 roster, and having an injury at the top of it is never good.

Hopefully, Prather is okay and won’t miss too much time, and still gets a chance to live out his NFL dream.
