Stassi Schroeder is “packed and ready” to evacuate Los Angeles with her husband, Beau Clark, and their two kids amid the wildfires.
As Lala Kent, 34, offered an update on her own family, sharing that she was heading to Palm Springs after seeing that her four-month-old baby girl, Sosa, was “struggling to breathe,” the 36-year-old Vanderpump Rules alum looked back on the “most terrifying night” of her life as she confirmed she and Beau, 44, packed up their belongings as they waited for a potential evacuation order from officials.
“I hesitate to write this because it’s still not over and I don’t even have the right words to articulate everything,” Stassi began in a January 9 post. “Firstly, my family is currently still safe and at home. Secondly, my heart is absolutely broken for everyone affected in all of the fires. The amount of loss is unimaginable. Last night was by far the most terrifying night of my life. Trying to give my kids a bath and put them to bed and pretend like everything is okay with the view of the Sunset fire outside every window of my house, I will never forget the insane fear and trying to swallow my tears in front of them. But that’s nothing compared to what so many people have now had to go through. So many people who’ve lost everything.”
After thousands of Los Angeles residents lost their homes to a number of different fires throughout the county, Stassi said she and Beau were being cautious.
“We’re packed and ready. My kids’ baby books and memory boxes are packed. Our necessities are packed. My grandmother’s keepsakes packed. Just watching [and waiting],” she shared. “Our beloved city, I truly can’t believe it.”
Along with her message, Stassi shared an image taken from her $1.7 million home in the Hollywood Hills.
Shortly after Stassi’s post was shared, Beau shared a screenshot of alerts he’d received on his phone, one of which claimed an evacuation warning had been issued for their area.
In the message Beau received, officials told him to be “ready to evacuate” and encouraged him to gather his “loved ones, pets, and supplies.”
Then, about 20 minutes later, Beau received a second alert, which read, “Disregard last EVACUATION WARNING. It was for Kenneth Fire Only.”
“Great job officials,” Beau captioned his screenshot.
Meanwhile, on Lala’s Instagram Story, she told her fans and followers she had evacuated to her $1.35 million home in Palm Springs, which is a couple hours away from her home in Los Angeles.
“This morning Sosa woke up and was really struggling to breathe. I made the decision to pack my family up and come to Palm Springs, strictly based on the air quality. This is where we will stay until LA is safe again,” Lala wrote on January 9. “This is one of the most devastating situations I have ever seen. At this point, if you were not directly affected, you know someone who has lost everything. I’m obsessing over how we could be so underprepared. My heart is shattered for my community. Neighborhoods that people have called home for decades, now nonexistent. It is unimaginable. We have not been directly affected, and I’m trying to feel grateful for that — it’s hard because of what I’m seeing other people go through. In times like this all you want is to go home for comfort, and 1,000s of people don’t have their safe place anymore. There are looters, lack of water, and lack of preparation. I’m sad, but I’m angry … I’ll save that rant for a later date.”
She then thanked the firefighters and first responders of Los Angeles.
“Our [city’s] heroes … And to everyone affected — I know you feel alone. You are not alone,” she added.
Also on her Instagram Story, Lala shared a photo of her two daughters, including three-year-old Ocean, with Rylee, the youngest daughter of her former fiance, Randall Emmett, 53, and his ex-wife, Ambyr Childers, 36.
Vanderpump Rules is set to return to Bravo with an all-new cast later this year for season 12.
