Bears' safety Jaquan Brisker is already shooting his shot toward the front office in hopes of reuniting with one of his top college teammates

The offseason is officially here for all 32 teams in the NFL and every team will begin the process of building their rosters back up in hopes of being the last team standing.

For the Chicago Bears, the team needs are clear following the 2025 season and seeing what helped other teams find success that the Bears couldn't replicate. Chicago needs to fortify the trenches on both sides of the ball this offseason.

Everyone expects the Bears' front office to invest heavily on the offensive line, but adding another stud to the defensive line is another box that needs to be checked.

And Bears' safety Jaquan Brisker is already advocating for the front office to reunite him with a former college teammate after latest news from over the weekend.

On Super Bowl Sunday, NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reported that the Dallas Cowboys have had "internal conversations" about the future of star defensive end Micah Parsons. The team has two options, pay the man, or trade him for a King's Ransom.

Once that report was made, Brisker immediately went to social media to shoot his shot toward the Bears' front office.

"We'll welcome 11 with open arms! reunion," Brisker posted on X.

Brisker and Parsons played one season together at Penn State in 2019. After that season, Parsons was drafted 12th overall by the Cowboys and Brisker was selected in the second-round by the Bears following the 2021 season.

Since being drafted, Parsons has been named to four Pro Bowls and two All Pro teams while totaling 52.5 sacks in four seasons.

Adding a player like Parsons would be enticing for anyone on the defensive side of the ball in Chicago and it's easy to see why Brisker feels this way, but is acquiring the top edge rusher a viable option for the Bears' front office?

Should Chicago Look Into A Micah Parsons Trade?

As I previously said, Rapoport noted the Cowboys would likely demand a King's Ransom to trade their 25-year-old defensive star, but the team backed themselves into a tough situation by previously paying quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb with top of the market contract extensions.

With each passing day, it's looking more likely that the Cowboys would have to part ways with Parsons, and his frustrations with the team have continued since the team parted ways with head coach Mike McCarthy and hired Brian Schottenheimer.

The Bears already made one splash at the position in 2023 by trading a second-round pick for Montez Sweat. The front office will easily have to cough up much more for Parsons and would have to give him a new deal, like they did with Sweat, after making the trade.

Chicago has the assets to make it happen, including three picks in the Top-50 of April's draft and an abundance of cap space to work with. However with other glaring needs on the offensive line, would that be the best direction to go in this offseason?

Personally, I believe the Bears should steer clear of the top disgruntled edge rushers such as Parsons, Myles Garrett, Maxx Crosby, and Trey Hendrickson who could be on the move. There's other major needs and this roster isn't one player away from being a legit Super Bowl threat. But man, adding someone like Parsons would be incredible.
