Over the past three seasons with the Chargers, Mack has been highly productive:
- Played 16+ games each season (durability)
- 31 sacks
- 9 forced fumbles
- 193 pressures
- 39 tackles for loss
At 34 years old, Mack remains an elite edge rusher. Many believe a reunion in Chicago makes sense, though it won’t come cheap. PFF projects Mack’s next contract at two years, $22.5 million per year, with $40 million guaranteed and $45 million total.
Fueling speculation, the Bears social media team recently posted a video featuring several highlights of Mack from his time in Chicago. The post included the phrase “Leave your legacy,” with four clips of Mack, leading many fans and analysts to believe the team could be hinting at a potential reunion.

CBS Sports’ lead NFL insider Jonathan Jones even noted that the Bears post contained “a healthy amount” of Mack content. As free agency nears, the buzz continues to grow, and Mack remains a key player to watch as the Bears look to bolster their pass rush alongside Montez Sweat.
