The NFL marketing teams had their annual Super Bowl on Wednesday with the NFL's schedule release, which featured some great content as teams rolled out their 2025 slate.
The Los Angeles Chargers social team is known for its legendary work every year during the schedule release, and they didn't disappoint with a Minecraft-themed video littered with easter eggs. One of those nods featured the Chicago Bears, who aren't even on their schedule in 2025, where cornerback Tyrique Stevenson caught a stray.
The short clip, spotted at the end with the Chargers' full schedule, featured what appears to be Stevenson (donning No. 29) taunting the crowd at the Washington Commanders' Northwest Stadium. It's a nod to Stevenson's antics on the final Hail Mary play, where he was talking to the crowd right before the play and then tipped the ball to Commanders wide receiver Noah Brown for the game-winning touchdown.
Stevenson took accountability for his actions and role in that gut-wrenching loss, which kickstarted a 10-game losing streak, and that included apologizing to his teammates. Stevenson was benched for the first half of Chicago's next game as punishment, and he didn't seem to be the same player he was earlier in the season.
Stevenson has yet to live that moment down, and he has plenty to prove in a talented cornerback group. But Stevenson has a fresh start with new head coach Ben Johnson and his coaching staff, where getting coached by Dennis Allen and Al Harris should go a long way for him.
