Bears can trade for 8-time Pro Bowl WR if they send back $110 million star, says NFL insider

The Chicago Bears have a strong receiving corps.

But there's one name out there that Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio thinks they should look into.

Caleb Williams addresses quotes surrounding his name in Seth Wickersham's upcoming book

Florio suggests that Dolphins star Tyreek Hill could be a good fit in Chicago with quarterback Caleb Williams and new head coach Ben Johnson.

The catch: He says the Bears could only get Hill by trading away their top receiver, D.J. Moore.

"The Bears also would be an intriguing option, especially with former Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy on the coaching staff," Florio writes. "But they’re currently loaded at receiver; it wouldn’t work unless they’d send D.J. Moore to Miami as part of the trade."

Florio isn't predicting that this will happen, but rather that it could make a lot of sense.

"It’s a long shot, for the Bears or any other team," Florio wrote. "But all it takes is one team to convince itself that Hill can be the difference maker. The guy who can help a team that is close to the mountaintop finish the climb."

Part of Hill's availability likely comes down to whether teams believe his 2024 was a fluke or not. He dropped well off from 2023 (1,799 yards) by finishing with 959 yards and six TDs.

Hill's struggles were at least partially due to a lot of time missed by starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa with injury.

Chicago would also have to decide whether it wants to take away Williams' top target in Moore and risk upsetting chemistry that was building throughout the No. 1 pick's rookie season.

Lots of uncertainty here, but keep an eye on Hill's name, just in case.
