Bears' Caleb Williams gets new favorite target and star RB in Mel Kiper mock draft

The Chicago Bears need to do everything in their power to surround second-year QB Caleb Williams with supreme offensive talent.

The 2025 NFL Draft is their next chance to do so.

Cabinda: Penn State EDGE Abdul Carter will be an 'ascending player' in the NFL 'GMFB'

ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. projects the Bears to use two early picks to bolster the group around last year's No. 1 pick.

First, Kiper has the Bears using the No. 10 overall pick on Penn State tight end Tyler Warren.

"New Bears coach Ben Johnson could line up Warren anywhere, get him the ball and let him roll to first downs after the catch," Kiper writes.

Then at No. 41, Kiper locks the Bears in to taking Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson.

"Henderson could take some pressure off Caleb Williams by picking up first downs on the ground," Kiper writes. "He rushed for 42 scores and averaged 6.4 yards per carry over four seasons at Ohio State."

The Bears actually have another second-round pick, No. 39 via the Panthers, and Kiper mocks them to take Walter Nolan, a defensive tackle out of Ole Miss, at that spot.

If Chicago comes away with these three guys to start the NFL Draft, it'll be a very good feeling in Bears country.
