Bears buzz building around generational prospect

The Chicago Bears will have a chance to add some serious talent in just one week.

Who will they add, though?

Chicago has the No. 10 pick in the upcoming National Football League Draft and will make its first selection on April 24th from Green Bay, Wisconsin. That day will be massive for Chicago. The Bears have some high-end pieces already in place, like Caleb Williams, and brought Ben Johnson to town this offseason to be the team's head coach.

Now, the Bears are going to have a chance to add another big-name prospect next week and Pro Football Focus' Jordan Plocher predicted that Chicago will end up selecting Boise State superstar Ashton Jeanty.

"No. 10. Chicago Bears: RB Ashton Jeanty, Boise State," Ploucher said. "A workhorse running back like Jeanty should help take some pressure off quarterback Caleb Williams. In addition to his well-established ground-game ability, Jeanty is also an excellent pass catcher who averaged 11.1 yards after the catch per reception and forced 41 missed tackles as a receiver during his college career."

The Bears already have D'Andre Swift in town, but, if Jeanty is available, he could be too tough to pass up. Johnson is coming from a Detroit Lions team that has two great running backs in Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery. Pairing Jeanty with Swift could be give the Bears an equally as good running back duo at Johnson's disposal.

The Lions' duo dominated the league last year. Getting something like that in Chicago with Caleb Williams, DJ Moore, Rome Odunze, and Cole Kmet could be a game-changer.
