You don’t have to look beyond the Green Bay Packers when it comes to consistency at the quarterback position. For three decades Green Bay has had a franchise quarterback under center, and could be looking at another decade if Jordan Love pans out the way they hope.
Through two seasons Jordan Love has led Green Bay to back-to-back playoff appearances, not to mention 11 wins in season number two.
Per Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic:
It isn’t done yet, but barring anything unexpected … Aaron Glenn will be the next #Jets coach.
Staff has been operating as if it will get done, according to sources. The team is still working through some things before it’s finalized.
And, as Connor_J_Hughessaid, the Jets have started informing candidates that they are going in another direction.
It became clear early on in the interview process that Glenn would be an excellent candidate for the Jets job, and he also attracted considerable interest from the Saints. Based on the Jets’ interview schedule, Glenn was presumably aiming for a position there, and it appears that is where the Jets’ search will go.
Prior to working for the Lions as a personnel scout in 2012 and ’13, Glenn was a Jets personnel scout. Originally drafted by the Jets in 1994 as a cornerback, he played for them from 1994 to 2001. As a Jet, he was a two-time Pro Bowler.
Of course, fans were quick to react to this news:
