Throughout The Bachelorette season 21, Jenn’s journey was a shocking disappointment. While it seemed like she was going to be treated like one of the most exciting leads in franchise history, Jenn’s time as The Bachelorette was a mix of disappointment and disinterest. Bachelor Nation struggled to get through Jenn’s season as the journey progressed, watching her getting let down by her cast time and time again. Cast members like Devin Strader, who Jenn chose at the end of her journey, and Sam McKinney have given viewers little hope for Joan’s season of The Golden Bachelorette where production is concerned.

Her Heartbreak Was Put On Display

While Jenn’s season of The Bachelorette was one of the most upsetting that Bachelor Nation has seen in ages, it was a major shift for the viewers. Understanding that Jenn’s journey on the series and Jenn’s story as she’s told it is fundamentally different, it’s become clear to Bachelor Nation that there have always been discrepancies in the way the viewers come to understand the leads’ journey. Keeping that divide in mind, seeing the end of Jenn’s season of The Bachelorette was difficult.

The heartbreaking end of Jenn’s journey, which saw Jenn and her final rose recipient Devin broken up on the live finale aftershow stage with host Jesse Palmer, was difficult for viewers to wrap their heads around. While Jenn and Devin announced their split and rehashed many of the issues that pushed their relationship to its breaking point, one thing got under viewers’ skin more than anything else. After the pair had opened up about their breakup, Jenn and Devin were made to watch their engagement unfold on screen while Jenn sobbed in front of a live studio audience.

Although there werei ssues with The Bachelorette season 21 by the end, many have been wondering how some of the cast members even came to be part of the season. The casting behind The Bachelor franchise operates in a way where contestants are picked from season to season, but some may have applied for seasons past, and not for their interest in a specific lead. With Jenn’s season having such a wildly unsuccessful cast full of men who weren’t interested in her and villains, Bachelor Nation is concerned about the men cast for The Golden Bachelorette being suitable for Joan.
