The highly anticipated return of Bachelor In Paradise season 10 was recently announced, and this season's big twist is making me wonder if people wonder how things will work. The last season of The Bachelor spin-off ended without yielding a couple, so there's a lot of pressure on this season to make up for it. The addition of a big twist makes this coming season of BIP very different from past seasons.

Bachelor In Paradise: Will The Golden Contestants Be Dating The Young Contestants? (Here's How Season 10 Will Work)

During the recent The Bachelor season 29 finale, host Jesse Palmer announced that Bachelor In Paradise season 10 would include contestants from The Golden Bachelor and The Golden Bachelorette. A Creative Solution To A Scheduling Problem

The Golden Bachelor spin-offs have been a meteoric success for ABC and the franchise, so there was eagerness for Golden Bachelor In Paradise. With so many shows to schedule, the network found a creative solution to their enviable problem. During The Bachelor season 29 finale, Jesse announced that contestants from The Golden Bachelor and The Golden Bachelorette would also appear in Bachelor In Paradise season 10.

In addition to announcing the big twist, Jesse also named the show's first three contestants. Among the younger cohort, the first Bachelor In Paradise season 10 contestant will be The Bachelor's Zoe McGrady, who appeared in season 29. Jesse also announced the first two Golden contestants; Gary Levingston, 65, and Leslie Fhima, 65.

Two Separate Beaches

When he announced the big Bachelor In Paradise twist, Jesse didn't expand on how it works. It wasn't clear if there would be two side-by-side storylines, with two separate rose ceremonies, or if it would be a wild free-for-all with everyone in the same cross-generational dating pool. Thankfully, Jared Freid, host of The Betchler podcast, which airs on YouTube, claims that Leslie told him exactly how it would work. “I have heard from my good friend Leslie Fhima that we got it wrong,” Freid said. “It will be two separate seasons that they’ll be taping at the same time.”
