Palmer and Adams' comments were controversial amongst fans, given the age difference between Golden contestants and the rest of the participants.

Some Bachelor Nation members chimed in the conversation as well.

"hm don't think we should be encouraging 50 year age gaps," Rachel Kirkconnell, winner of The Bachelor season 25, wrote in an comment under an Instagram post from Barstool Sports' Chicks in the Office.

"Ew," added Jade Roper Tolbert, former Paradise cast member.

A few Bachelor Nation podcasters joined in on the chatter.

"YIKES," wrote Emma Gray, host of the reality tv podcast Love to See It.

Another podcaster, Jackie Maroney of the She's All Bach podcast added, "They're already done filming so he definitely knows whether that happened or not" with an eye roll emoji.

Fans can see if Palmer and Adams' wishes come true by tuning into Bachelor in Paradise starting Monday, July 7, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
