The Southern Charm cast member shared an exciting update on his company, Trop Hop Beers.
Austen Kroll has a big announcement about his beer company.
In an October 21 Instagram Story, the Southern Charm cast member re-shared a post from the Instagram account of his beer brand, Trop Hop Beers. "Big news," Austen wrote over the re-shared photo, which featured a person holding a newspaper in front of their face with the words "New Trop Hop flavor coming soon" in the brand's signature aqua blue color.
"Surprise. We've got a new beer on the way!! Can you guess what it will be??" the business account captioned the Instagram post.
Currently, the company brews one flavor: the Tropical IPA, aka their "flagship" beer their website describes as an "easy drinking India Pale Ale with grapefruit and passionfruit flavor."
Elsewhere on the website, the company describes its mission as endeavoring to make "great-tasting beer with a tasteful tropical influence" and notes that Austen has "always sought to bring a fresh and flavor-forward perspective to the craft beer scene."
With that in mind, and with the one IPA on the table, we're definitely curious to see what's coming next!
Austen Kroll's Plans for Trop Hop's Future
In the video above, Austen discussed various topics with BravoTV.com, including his dating life over the years on Southern Charm and what he had in mind next for his business and career at large.
“Current career bucket list item is getting Trop Hop nationwide and then trying to open up a bar in Charleston,” he shared at the time. “I’ve always wanted to open a bar here.”
Austen has since worked to reach those goals, as Trop Hop is now widely available and he is opening up a bar in Charleston with Craig Conover.
Austen Kroll and Craig Conover's New Bar and Restaurant, By the way
In January, Austen and Craig announced they were opening a bar and restaurant, By the Way, in Charleston, in alliance with Uptown Hospitality Group.
More recently, the duo celebrated the imminent opening of the exciting new venture with a pop-up event that included influencers and other members of the community.
"One last pop-up in the books - the final countdown is on!" read the caption of a shared Instagram post between the On the Way account, Craig, and Austen. The friends posed with numerous people at the event and photos in the post showed off the delicious-looking "sips & small bites" provided by By the Way, giving everyone a taste of what's to come.
Following their announcement in January, Craig and Austen spoke with Entertainment Tonight about what they had in mind for the project.
"What I envision is a place where you come for a drink before dinner, let's say, lose track of time, and before you know it, hours have passed and all of a sudden, you're surrounded by all your friends," Austen said. "It's going to be a place where you can come and sit for a while."
