Austen Kroll Reveals His Dating Rules for Cuffing Season

Austen Kroll’s dating life has been a focal point of Southern Charm for years. Whether it was his tumultuous relationship with Madison LeCroy or the questionable hook-up with Taylor Ann Green last season, it’s all about the Trop Hop Beer founder’s love life.

Austen Kroll Reveals His Dating Rules for Cuffing Season

So why not ask the Southern Charm personality his advice about dating during the holidays, otherwise known as cuffing season? And Austen has rather specific rules to live by when it comes to matters of the heart this time of year.

Austen Kroll is not confident in the art of gift-giving

Austen started dating Audrey Pratt this time last year. They are still together and celebrating their first anniversary. And the Bravolebrity revealed that he managed to follow his own rules when he started romancing his current girlfriend.

First of all, the Southern Charm veteran is on board to start a new romance leading up to the holiday season. That is a “yes” from Austen to Us Weekly.

That being said, one has to assess whether the situation is right to introduce the new partner to the family.

“How serious is this partner and how long have you been dating? Have you been dating for longer than three months?” Austen advised. “Then yes, you can introduce your partner to your family during the holidays.”

The topic of sharing gifts could be a challenge, as it would be expected, but Austen admitted that presents are “not my love language.” However, he has admitted to asking “girls that are friends” to his partner when searching for an ideal gift.

“I’m terrible because I feel like jewelry is such a lame gift, but women love jewelry, right?” he said. “I don’t know. I mean are flowers, like, a lame gift? Yes.”

Austen thinks breaking up with someone before the holidays is “cruel”

Austen has been known to break a few hearts during his Southern Charm run. But he will never end matters with a lady during cuffing season.

“If you’re on the fence about the relationship, you wait until after Christmas and the new year, probably [to break up],” he shared. “That would be cruel to break up with somebody right before Christmas.”

Another no-no for the reality TV star is recycling dates just for convenience’s sake. In other words, Austen would avoid “calling an ex because you don’t have a date.” However, it’s “dealer’s choice” if an ex invited him for a holiday bash.

“They are an ex for a reason,” he reiterated.

Austen is a sucker for holiday movies, whether with a date or solo. That seems like a safe option for a date even for a fledgling relationship.

“My favorite holiday rom-com to watch by the fire during the holidays at the moment is The Holiday,” he shared. “I’ve seen it two times already this December.”
