Austen Kroll Just Made a New Renovation to His Home: "Finishing Touches" (PHOTOS)

The Southern Charm cast member is showing off some upgrades that he's made to his Charleston house.

Austen Kroll is in the process of making some changes to his Charleston home that he shares with his two cats, Piper and Martini. The Southern Charm cast member recently took to his Instagram Story, where he revealed that he was installing a "wine cellar."

The new home feature is located next to his kitchen, on the edge of his living room. The dark-colored wine cellar fits perfectly in the space, with built-in shelving for wine bottles, lighting inside the shelves, marble countertops, and slots for some mini refrigerators.

"Finishing touches on my 'wine cellar' coming together," he wrote over the photo. "It was a tight squeeze, but I'm told it eventually fit. Was prettyy tense there for a second, but my girls were cool as cucumbers. Now just waiting on the wine/beverage coolers."

He then showed off a close-up of the wine cellar once it was installed, while his cats observed. "But look at how good it turned out!" he added. "Cabinet color, and the beautiful [Zimpel Granite & Marble] counter top to bring it all together!"

Austen's cats' cool and collected behavior this time around is a slight change from their attitude in early July when they interrupted some prior home renovations. Austen took to his Instagram Story at the time, where he revealed that he was staining his hardwood floors, but Piper and Martini got in the way of this process.

 

"So cute...until they tear through the protective barrier to your newly stained floor and leave their little cat prints all over it *deep sigh*," he wrote over the photo.

Austen previously showed off his kitchen renovations in March, after interior designer Rodrigo Reyes helped him with them. In the photo, Austen can be seen standing in the middle of the kitchen, surrounded by his white cabinets and new, marble countertops, which lightened up the house so much.

"So [Rodrigo] stepped in and made it happen in less than 2 weeks!" Austen wrote over the photo. "Backsplash up next."

Home renovations aren't the only thing that Austen has recently taken on. The Trop Hop beer founder recently announced that he and Craig Conover are opening their own wedding and events venue, The Waverly, in downtown Charleston.

"After a successful partnership on By the Way, it only made sense to join forces again," Craig said in an announcement video, posted to Instagram.

"This time, bringing that same energy and vision to Charleston's event scene," Austen added.
