As Bachelor Nation fans know, Jared Haibon and Ashley Iaconetti Haibon got engaged on Season 5 of “Bachelor in Paradise” and tied the knot in August 2019.
Since then, they’ve welcomed son Dawson into their lives and their second son Hayden in 2024.
Recently, Ashley revealed in a new episode of the “Almost Famous Podcast,” which she co-hosts, that she has had two breast biopsies after being inspired by Katie Thurston, who has been very open about her own breast cancer journey.
After reading an update from Katie about her diagnosis, Ashley revealed, “I talked about this in the doctor conversation I had about breast cancer, that I have had two breast biopsies.”
Ashley shared some personal information and admitted that she doesn’t often do self-checks.
“This is so TMI,” she warned. “I mentioned about how the feel of my [chest is] different now after having kids than it was prior. They used to be a lot denser… Yes, that is common, but I didn’t breastfeed, so I didn’t expect there to be as much of a difference in the feel, and there was… [but] I really don’t do any self-checks.”
Ashley then explained how she sometimes checks herself but doesn’t feel like those moments are very intentional since they’re mostly out of happenstance.
She also revealed that she thinks it would be easier to find irregularities now than previously before, and feels she should be more intentional about her self-checks.
“Especially now with the texture that they’re at, I would absolutely notice now,” she admitted, “but I should have more intentional moments of check.”
We appreciate Ashley’s honesty and vulnerability, and we’re so glad that she remains healthy.
