Faith Martin, a 62-year-old from Benton City, Washington, and Kim Buike, a 70-year-old from Seattle, Washington, were two of 30-plus contestants on Bachelor in Paradise Season 10, which—for the first time in the franchise’s history—included alums from both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, as well as The Golden Bachelor and The Golden Bachelorette. Faith was the third-place finalist on The Golden Bachelor Season 1 with Gerry Turner, while Kim was a contestant on The Golden Bachelorette Season 1 with Joan Vassos.

Kim and Faith coupled up in Episode 5 after Faith gave her rose to Kim, who returned the favor in Episode 6. Episode 6 also marked the start of a new format for Bachelor in Paradise when host Jesse Spencer revealed that no new arrivals would be joining the show and that the remaining couples would compete in compatibility challenges for the power to decide who’s eliminated and a chance to win $500,000.

While Faith and Kim haven’t confirmed their relationship status after their elimination on Bachelor in Paradise Season 10, both both shared their interest in continuing their relationship off-camera in their exit interviews. “This has been an amazing experience,” Kim said. “Faith is a wonderful lady. I’ve obviously enjoyed getting to know her, and we’ve both agreed that we’ve already established a very strong connection, and we’ll work on it outside of here.”

Faith added, “I’m leaving with personal growth, always. It’s been such a journey being open to finding out more about Kim and then finding out, ‘Wow, He’s really a remarkable person,’ and realizing what a catch he is. The quality of person that he is is absolutely amazing.”

Faith and Kim also hinted are their continued relationship the night of their elimination on Bachelor in Paradise Season 10, when both Kim and Faith shared a fan edit of his and Faith’s time on the series on Instagram. Kim commented on the post, “So many sweet moments and memories!” Both Faith and Kim were also collaborators on the post. Two days before their elimination, Kim also wished Faith a happy birthday in a comment of another fan edit of her. “Happy Birthday to this very special lady!!!” he wrote.

The week before their elimination, Kim also shared a series of photos of him and Faith on Bachelor in Paradise Season 10, including a message he wrote in the sand that read: “Faith is love.” Faith commented on the post, “I loved your sand art,” along with a red heart emoji.

Fans have also noted that both Kim and Faith live in Washington state (Faith lives in Tri-Cities, while Kim is from Everett just four hours away driving), so distance may not be as much of an issue in their relationship as it has been for other couples, like Season 1 Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner and his winner Theresa Nist. Gerry lives in Indiana, while Theresa is from New Jersey. Theresa and Gerry, who got engaged in The Golden Bachelor Season 1 finale, married in a televised wedding special in January 2024. They announced their divorce in April of that year.

During an interview on the “Almost Famous” podcast in November 2024, Theresa revealed that she believed if she and Gerry lived closer together they would’ve had a “better chance” of staying together after The Golden Bachelor.

“You just think the world wants a love story and they want you to move. You don’t know how you’re going to feel until you’re really faced with that decision,” she said. “It’s very difficult. I do want to be in love. I do want to be with someone. I think love is for me the most important thing and it’s love of family and to have a partner in life is what I want.”
